Love Sick, 14 x 18″, ceramic faces made from plaster molds and hand sculpted flowers, 2020

This piece holds still a moment in time: a moment between my now-husband and I when the love we shared felt like a fast spreading disease, to which we both utterly and completely succumbed. The roses that spread from between us and overtake our faces act as a visible form of our love for one another and the future we began to plan together as a newly engaged couple.
