Last summer I did some yard work, once a week, for a nice old lady, named Jan. She was your typical sweet old lady, she loved to quilt and garden. At the end of summer she gave me some ferns for my garden, and we had plans to get back in touch next spring. Sadly, Jan passed away in March. I’ve been looking for my ferns since the snow melted and I am elated to see them making an appearance. I just love the way they curl out from the center. Every time I see them it reminds me of Jan and I am so happy to have this little way to remember her.
